Sigri Estate - Papua New Guinea

Sigri Estate - Papua New Guinea

from $18.00

Grown in the highlands of Papua New Guinea at elevations above 1550 meters, this exceptional peaberry lot comes from the renowned Sigri Estate. Unlike most coffees in the region, which are sourced from aggregated smallholder harvests, Sigri’s coffee is estate-grown and meticulously controlled from the moment of picking. Each cherry is hand-selected for peak ripeness and pulped the same day—rare in PNG—preserving vibrant clarity in the cup.

Sigri’s washed process includes a carefully managed three-day fermentation, interrupted by daily washings, followed by an extra 24-hour soak for additional sweetness and complexity. After this, the coffee undergoes a slow 21-day conditioning, then is hulled, graded, double color-sorted, and double hand-sorted—ensuring remarkable consistency and quality.

This lot’s peaberry beans are dense, uniform, and packed with flavor. Expect a cup that’s clean and layered, with a bright tropical acidity, juicy sweetness, and a silky, rounded body. Sigri coffees set the standard for Papua New Guinea, and this peaberry is no exception.
